Benson Primary students will show off all of their hard work during the annual spring open-house event we call, Celebration of Learning. On Thursday, April 19^th students and their families are invited to visit the classrooms from 6:30-7:30 pm to view work that students have completed throughout the 2011-12 school year. In addition, the hallways and display cases throughout the building will be filled with student artwork. The IEPTO will be hosting a book fair in the media center as well as an ice cream social located in the gymnasium. These special events will be open from 6:30-8:00 pm. Additionally, first and second graders have created canvas paintings that will be silently auctioned off at this open-house event. The proceeds from the sale of these paintings will be used to assist with the funding of the 2012-13 5^th grade outdoor education program at Franzen Intermediate School. We are looking forward to a busy and fun-filled evening on Thursday, April 19^th.
