Welcome to Benson Primary School, which is located in Itasca, Illinois. Currently our enrollment for the 2011-12 school year is 311 students in grades early childhood through second. I am extremely proud of our school community and am honored to work with our dedicated and professional staff whose purpose is to provide a positive learning environment for all of our students.

At Benson Primary we are also proud of the involvement and support we continuously receive from the Itasca Elementary Parent Teacher Organization. Through the combined effort of the school organization and the Itasca Parent Teacher Organization (IEPTO), Benson Primary has been able to offer many programs to our students. Additionally, the IEPTO also sponsors many before and after school programs and opportunities in which the students and parents may participate.

We at Benson Primary are proud of our community. It is one that includes not only parents and students, but also the business community and the citizenry as a whole. Through the cooperation of our community we are able to find great success when offering numerous opportunities to our students including such events as AIMS (Adults Involved in Mentoring Students), Special Friends’ Day, Star Lab, Nature Center, Field Day, Second Grade Career Day and the First Grade Animal Event, just to name a few.
