Lake Park High School Information

Ninth Grade Orientation provides information for incoming parents/students.

Lake Park High School consists of one high school divided into two campuses in northeast DuPage County. Freshmen and sophomores attend East Campus while juniors and seniors attend West Campus. Lake Park High School District 108 serves all or part of the following communities: Roselle, Itasca, Bloomingdale, Keeneyville, Medinah, Wood Dale and Hanover Park.

Summer School - Lake Park offers credit recovery courses for current students and bridge courses in math, reading, and Algebra Enrichment for incoming freshman.  Registration fees are minimal or in some cases free.  Click here for more information.

Athletic and Band Camps - The variety of summer activity and athletic camps that LP offers are too numerous to list.  Suffice to say, if your student competes during the school year, then a camp exists to improve their skills and increase their enjoyment.  Many camps invite kids of all ages.  To register for a summer sports camp, click here.  If your student is interested in Track and Field, then checkout the DuPage Track Club.  They have a link on the LP Athletics homepage.  This club is staffed by many LP coaches.

Freshman and Sophomore August Orientation - Incoming freshmen and sophomores will participate in orientation programs during August. Students will take the bus to and from school, pick up their books, locate their lockers, find their classrooms, have their ID pictures taken, and receive their PE uniforms.  Look for a mailing this summer which explains the orientation programs and accommodations for students who cannot attend the events.  Be sure to complete your student's fall registration materials so that their schedule can be distributed on time.  Registration materials are due in July

Freshman Family BBQ - Incoming freshman and their families are invited to a picnic in August.  The BBQ takes place at the East Campus.  Families will enjoy food, live music, spirit rally, program for parents, and a DJ for the students.  Look for the invitation this summer.  This event is another great opportunity for our freshman to meet their peers from the class of 2017!

Math Summer Packet - All incoming ninth-graders and current Lake Park students are required to complete a summer math packet. Students will turn their completed packet into their math teacher on the first day of school for a grade.  Click here to learn more and download the specific packet that students should complete.

PSAT test - Saturday, October 15, 2016, 7:45-11:00 AM. Each student planning to attend Lake Park must take these tests, which will provide information about skills in English, Reading, Math, and Science reasoning.
